On Monday, November 10, 2025, Ehime University held an exchange meeting between international students and companies at its Johoku Campus. The purpose of this exchange meeting is to help companies understand the students as they are and their awareness and expectations of working in Japan, and to help them visualize their potential. The purpose of this meeting is to help international and Japanese students prepare for employment and prepare for working at a Japanese company through exchange with company representatives. Ltd., Computer System Corporation, Sato Sangyo Corporation, Manabe Zoki Corporation, and Marusan Sangyo Corporation from Ehime Prefecture, and Shikoku Electric Power Company, Inc. and Unicharm Products Corporation from Kagawa Prefecture. A total of 38 people attended, including 18 international and 1 Japanese students from Ehime University, 7 faculty members, and 12 persons from each company.
First, the companies introduced their companies, followed by a group session in which students and companies interacted with each other in a question-and-answer session.
Participating international students commented that “it was a great experience to talk directly with people from Japanese companies,” and “it was good to be able to ask questions about the hiring process and the skills I should acquire.
We also received comments from companies such as, “It was good to be able to interact directly with the international students,” and “I really appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from the international students in their own words.
This exchange meeting provided an opportunity for international students seeking employment in Japan and Japanese students interested in global society and work to gain a concrete image of what it will be like after employment and to learn more about companies in the Shikoku region through the exchange meeting. It was also an opportunity for companies to interact with university students, including international students, with whom they do not usually have the opportunity to come into contact.
The International Student Employment Promotion Program Office will continue to promote global human resource development, career support, and promotion of foreign nationals to realize a multicultural society.
