Ehime University Research Data Policy
Ehime University has established the following rules for Ehime University’s research data based on the “Basic Policy on the Management and Utilization of Publicly Funded Research Data” (Cabinet Office Web site).

(Purpose)
1. This policy sets forth the basic policy for the management, storage, disclosure, and utilization of research data at Ehime University (hereinafter referred to as “Ehime University”). By setting forth the basic policy for the management, storage, disclosure, and utilization of research data at Ehime University (hereinafter referred to as “the University”), this policy aims to promote open science, ensure sound and fair research, promote basic science and develop applied science, and practice academic research for the inheritance, creation, and integration of knowledge.
(Definition of research data)
2. “Research data” covered by this policy means any data collected or generated through research, education, or other activities at Ehime University.
(Responsibilities of Researchers, etc.)
3. Members of Ehime University who are involved in research, education, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Researchers, etc.”) 3. Members of the University who are engaged in research, education, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Researchers, etc.”) shall manage and store research data appropriately, make it widely available to society, and promote its utilization by, for example, providing metadata to research data as much as possible.
(University Responsibilities)
4. Ehime University shall provide researchers and others with an environment that supports the management, storage, publication, and utilization of research data.
