On December 1 (Fri.) and 2 (Sat.), 2023, the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Ehime University’s academic exchange partner in Taiwan, held a ceremony to celebrate its 6th anniversary.
The National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology was established in February 2008 through the merger of three national universities in Kaohsiung City, and Ehime University was invited to attend its 6th anniversary celebration. The ceremony was attended by representatives from overseas partner universities, lectures, concerts, banquets, and many other commemorative events, which were attended by many graduates from the university. In addition, two Ehime University faculty members met with President Yang Qingyu of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, and confirmed that the two universities would continue to develop various exchanges in the future.
Ehime University signed academic exchange agreements with the former National Kaohsiung University of Technology in 2011 and with the former National Kaohsiung University of Applied Science and Technology in 2015, respectively. In 2018, we signed another inter-university academic exchange agreement with National Kaohsiung University of Technology after the merger and consolidation. In 2019, a double degree program in the master’s program between the Mechanical Engineering Course of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering and the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering of the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology has also begun.
Ehime University will continue its international exchange activities with National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, focusing on student exchange.
